Well, since the host on my .com site isn't going to allow a FTP server to upload pictures and videos, I signed up a .net account for videos and random pictures.
Should be up in the next few days, and should start seeing videos and pictures from there rather than flickr... not that there's anything wrong w/ flickr.

The domain emailed me last night. Website is ready to be setup!!! So I guess today... and the rest of the week, I'll be going through what I'd like to have on there.

Oh man...
Just received an email saying my website is going to be hosted and ready for edit (by me!) at the latest by Tuesday night!!

Lightroom 2.0
So I just downloaded the second version of Lightroom and I'm as excited as a 6 year old on christmas morning coming down the stairs to see that red bike under the tree. Ok, maybe not THAT excited, but MAN its exciting.
Can't wait to use it.
I'm also buying a template to setup a site for myself sometime today. Beautiful flash website with pretty colors. Stay tuned, this is going to be fun!!!

David Jay and Jasmine Star
So last night I went to the freedom tour with Annemarie - the now second biggest ball of energy I've ever seen!
Its beyond words that something as simple as taking pictures and processing them can make normal people into such superstars in their prospective field. I guess Jasmine was right about branding yourself. The way you show yourself to others is how they preceive you in person... and let me tell you, Jasmine does one hell of a job at it.
David Jay's presentation was awesome. His tips on post processing and workflow was beyond helpful. Its nothing new, just a more efficient way of doing things. I guess sometimes it takes someone else to shed a light on subjects for you that were there in front of you the whole time for you to realize and make the adjustments. His work is inspiring, his business minded approach is to be applauded, and his personality is very sincere. And all he does is 'take pictures'... imagine that.
Jasmine. Oh Jasmine. I thought I had met the most energetic and outgoing person when I met Annemarie in April, but Jasmine trumps her 10 fold and then takes the cake and runs with it!!! Her speech was so energetic, I had a headache after if was done. Not because it was bad, but because I didn't have a chance to get oxygen to my brain while trying to follow what she was saying. She is so passionate about her work, its almost alien. A human being can't possibly be like this on a daily basis. But it seems as though she is!!! Amazing.
At the end of the night, I learned a lot than I didn't know and had questions about. I also left with a lot of new questions that I have to answer for myself. I think the price justifies the answers. It was time well spent and a lot learned all crunched in a 4 hour seminar... which I'm sure Jasmine could go for days if you let her.

Bob Schneider in Houston
So a great long time friend of mine Harmoni calls me (LAST SECOND, mind you!!!) on Friday and tells me her and the band are coming into town to play a gig at Warehouse Live here in Houston.
After work, I met up w/ another long time great friend Bronwen to see the band. Had a blast and snapped some pictures. Here are the ones I liked out of the set... which means they came out the best.

Been a couple of weeks...
So here's an update.
With all the money I have spent in the past few months on photography equipment from Cameras, to memory, to lenses, and a shiny new bag, one thing was lacking. Processing power!!! So on Thursday, May 29th I walked into the Apple store down here and bought the fastest and (arguably) the most sought after Apple computer photographers and any Apple nut would want. A Mac Pro!
For those who don't know, this thing has so much processing power and expandability, I can use it as a server if need be... but I'll just stick processing. I also purchased the two most used programs any photographer would want. Adobe Photoshop CS3 and Lightroom. So far, so good... w/ one slight issue. Can't connect to my wireless router. Turns out the salesman at Apple thought it had the AirPort card in there, and it doesn't. So on Sunday, Apple is installing one for me at no charge and I should be good to go.
Then I will be LETHAL!!! haha... fast computer, adobe products, photography equipment, and the internet. Going to be fuuuuuuun.
